Our Prints & Causes
Bikinis can't save the world, but the women who wear them can!
Help save the species you're passionate about.
Dedicated to ethical fashion, MAGDAKINEDESIGNS has partnered with scientists and conservationists worldwide to help inspire, design and create our swimwear. All of our unique and limited edition prints are created in-house and a portion of your purchase is donated to saving the species you care about!
Choose a print and cause that resonates with you, or simply choose a bikini style you like. Either way, every MAGDAKINEDESIGNS purchase makes a positive impact on the environment we live, and here's how:
Protecting our Ocean's Gentle Giants
Purchasing the Isabela Top and Isabela Bottoms, featuring drifting manta rays on Caribbean green recycled luxury fabric, returns a donation to the Marine Megafauna Foundation in order to support the research and protection of our ocean's gentle giants.
Marine Megafauna Foundation was founded in 2009 by internationally renowned marine scientists Andrea Marshall and Simon Pierce. After a decade of pioneering research into the stability of manta ray and whale shark populations in Mozambique, a bio-diversity hotspot off the east coast of Africa, they uncovered a shocking reality: if we don’t act now, we are in danger of losing these vulnerable species forever. MMF has now expanded their efforts to megafauna hotspots globally, to include Mexico, South America, Southeast Asia and even the coastlines of Florida.
Donations from MAGDAKINEDESIGNS benefit MMF’s projects worldwide and help fund outreach programs to local hotspot fisheries who target Manta Rays in unsustainable numbers.
Stopping the Spread of Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death in Hawaiʻi
Purchasing the Orocovis one-piece or San Sebastián set, both featuring blooming ʻŌhiʻa Lehua flowers on recycled luxury fabric, returns a donation to the Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death Foundation, as well as the #OhiaLove Project in order to support the research and protection of Hawaiʻi islands sacred tree.
The Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death Foundation and the #OhiaLove Project are working to protect the islands' most abundant native tree species that has fallen under attack. The #OhiaLove Project works to collect native and endemic seeds from healthy ʻŌhiʻa trees throughout the islands in order to ensure the survival of the species for future generations. The Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death Foundation is working in areas of high infestation in order to mitigate and stop the spread of the disease that is rapidly killing off thousands of acres of ʻŌhiʻa trees on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi.
Donations from MAGDAKINEDESIGNS are split between the two nonprofits and help fund the outreach, education and seed collection throughout the entire island chain.
